UPMC Pinnacle Hanover's Patient Portal gives you the flexibility to access your health information and other resources on your time and between visits.

MyHealthPortal is available over the internet, which means you can use it from almost anywhere.

As a patient of UPMC Pinnacle Hanover, enrolling in MyHealthPortal will allow you to:

  • View your test results
  • View your medications
  • Update personal information
  • View appointments

Accessing UPMC Pinnacle Hanover's MyHealthPortal

The following information is required to access MyHealthPortal.

  • UPMC Pinnacle Hanover Medical Record Number
  • Personal email address

In order to enroll in UPMC Pinnacle Hanover’s Patient Portal, we need to have your email address on file in your electronic medical record. The email address needs to be specific for you in order for your Portal enrollment to be successful. If the hospital does not have your email address, if your family shares an email address, or you do not know your medical record number, please contact our Health Information Management Department at 717-316-3700.

Please remember that the patient portal is for non-urgent communications only. If you have a medical emergency, please dial 9-1-1.

As a parent or guardian, will I be able to see my child’s patient portal?

Parents of children between the ages of newborn and 12 years old will be able to request proxy access for their children’s portal. There is no access to a child’s MyHealthPortal account for a child between the ages of 13 and 17 years old.

Who should I call if I have a question about my test results?

If you have questions about your test results, please contact the ordering provider or your primary care physician.

Can I download or print my information?

You may download and print your health summary from MyHealthPortal. However, it is not recommended that you download personal health information to your PC. You could download information to a thumb drive. With any download, it is best to encrypt the data and secure it with a password. Reminder: For your personal privacy, once you download or print information, you must be careful how you maintain and distribute this information.

Can I email my information to my physician?

Once downloaded, you can use email to distribute the information. However, please be reminded that email transmissions are not secure and there is a risk of the information being intercepted. In the future, it will be possible to securely transmit your health summary to a participating provider and/or hospital through a Health Information Service Provider (HISP). More information to come as the HISP is just beginning to be developed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The Patient Portal is available for all Hanover Medical Group (HMG) patients over 18, and participation is free! Through the Patient Portal, you will be able to access your medical information over a secure server from the comfort of your home or office, 24 hours a day.

With the Hanover Medical Group Patient Portal, you will be able to:

  • Send a message to your physician’s office
  • Request prescription refills
  • View current appointments
  • View or print your lab results
  • View or print your visit summaries
  • View your referrals
  • View your patient education
