Every year, chronic wounds affect the lives of 3 to 5 million Americans. These wounds cause significant pain and suffering, account for thousands of amputations a year, and are costly. Recent developments in wound healing have given hope to those suffering from wounds, helping them to heal faster.
The Hanover Wound Care Center is an outpatient facility that utilizes a multi-disciplinary team approach and state-of-the-art wound healing treatments. The Hanover Wound Care Center’s multi-disciplinary team consists of:
Physicians and Nurse Practitioners with specialized training in wound management
Board Certified Wound Ostomy and Continence nurses (CWOCN)
Referrals to Hanover Hospital Services: Laboratory, Radiology and Smoking Cessation Programs
Referrals to Hanover Hospital Specialists: Physical Therapists, Dieticians, Diabetic Nurses, and Surgeons
