EEG

An electroencephalogram (EEG) is a procedure for recording the electrical activity produced by the brain to provide information about brain function.  An EEG may be obtained to evaluate unexplained episodes of loss of consciousness, possible seizures, memory problems, and other neurologic symptoms.  The test takes one to one and a half hours.  Small electrodes will be attached to the scalp with washable electrode paste and the subject will be asked to rest in bed during the recording and sleep if possible.

For any questions, please call (717) 633-2125.
