The Staff

Warren Daniels, MD, has been Medical Director of HanoverWorks for the past ten years. Prior to this, he was the Regional Medical Director for Allied Signal for over 16 years. He graduated from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and served his residency at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, PA. He specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of work-related illness and injury.

George Zimmerman, PA-C, is certified by the National commission on Certification of Physician Assistants with over 30 years of experience in Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care, Family Medicine, and U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University Physician Assistant Program and has a certificate from the Duke University Occupational & Environmental Medicine Program for Physician Assistants. Mr. Zimmerman is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants and the American College of Occupational & Environmental Medicine. He is certified as a CAOHC Occupational Hearing Conservationist.

Anne Vallotton, BSN, CRNP, has worked as a contingent Nurse Practitioner with the clinic since 1996. She became a Certified Nurse Practitioner in 1976. She worked in Occupational Health from 1971-1991 for a 500 bed hospital in Baltimore. After that she worked with a Fortune 100 Company until 1996 when she became an associate consultant with Sennett & Associates and in 1999 became Manager of Occupational Health Services for Snyder's of Hanover, Inc.

Rick Pickett, OTR/L has served as the Director of Occupational Health for four years and prior to this he was an Occupational Therapist with Hanover Rehab Centers for four years. He is certified by the National Association of Occupational Health Professionals in Occupational Health Practice Management and has a BA in Psychology; BS in Occupational Therapy; and MS in Human Services Administration. He has a clinical background in Industrial Therapy, IMPACC Certification as an Ergonomics and Prevention Specialist, and certification as a Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP). He serves on the Board of Directors for the HART Center and for the Littlestown Chamber of commerce. Rick is a Staff Representative on Hanover Hospital's Quality Council.

Becky Spalla, RN is part of the nursing staff and serves in the role of charge nurse. She has an RN diploma from Johns Hopkins Hospital and has worked in nursing for 37 years with 29 of those years spent in Occupational Health Nursing. She is certified as a Breath Alcohol Technician, Drug Screen Collector, Occupational Hearing Conservationist, and in screening spirometry.

Sue Kemper, RN, BSN is a member of the nursing staff and part-time charge nurse. Sue has 10 years experience in occupational Health and Emergency nursing. She is certified in ACLS, Breath Alcohol Testing, Drug Screen Collection and Occupational Hearing Conservation.

Linda Contino, RN, BSN, is a member of the nursing staff with over 20 years of experience in several areas of nursing including: Med/Surg, Critical Care, Cath Lab, and Occupational Health. She received her diploma from the Reading Hospital School of Nursing and her BSN from the University of Phoenix. She is certified in ACLS, BLS, Breath Alcohol Testing, and Drug Screen Collection.

Elizabeth Myer, RN is a member of the nursing staff with 22 years of nursing experience in Long Term Care, Neonatal Special Care, and most recently, Occupational Health. She received her diploma from the Union Memorial Hospital Diploma Program in 1982. She is certified in Breath Alcohol Testing and Drug Screen Collection.

Donna Mummert, LPN is a member of the nursing staff with 20 years of experience in the following areas: Med/Surg, CCA, Maternity, Peds, Emergency Department and Occupational Health. She completed the Hanover Public School District's LPN program in 1984 after working as a Nurse's Aid. She is certified as a Breath Alcohol Technician, Drug Screen Collector, Occupational Hearing Conservationist, and in screening spirometry.

Denise Hann, LPN is a member of the nursing staff with over 30 years of nursing experience in Med/Surg, Long Term Care and Home Care. She is certified as a Breath Alcohol Technician and a Drug Screen Collector.

Sally Preble, LPN is a member of the nursing staff with over 30 years of experience in Long Term Care in the Westminister, MD area. She is certified as a Breath Alcohol Technician and Drug Screen Collector.

Sharon Swaby, Clinical Services Representative since 1996, deals with client billing, new client accounts, outside suppliers and vendors, and customer concerns and issues. She is certified as an EMT, Breath Alcohol Technician and Drug Screen Collector.

Sherri A. Dettinburn, our Drug Screen Coordinator since 2002, has a secretarial background. She is a Breath Alcohol Technician Instructor and Certified Professional Collector Trainer in Urine Specimen Collections.

Darlene Bankert  is a member of the front office team - she comes to us with many years experience in our local industries particularly a 16 year tenure with Hanover Direct - she also has a number of years working as the switchboard operator in our hospital's communications and safety departments.

Teri Ring, RN - is a member of our nursing staff with a vast array of experience in the critical and acute care settings - she has been with Hanover Hospital for the past 5 years as an ICU nurse and is also an ACLS instructor.

Kim Jones, PA-C  is a certified physician assistant with 16 years experience including family practice,emergency medicine and occupational health, she has a BA in Biology and attended Essex Community College for PA Certification.  Her professional affiliations includes: the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants and is certified through NCCPA.

Karla Kucera, RN, BSN - services as the case coordinator and company liaison, she has over 17 years experience in a variety of settings which include:  Manager of Occupational Health Services and Sales at Lake Hospital Systems in Ohio, Marketing and sales specialist for The Cleveland Clinic Reference Laboratory and has worked for several large pharmaceutical companies as a territory sales specialist.   She is a graduate of Penn State University and The Skincare Center of Alexandria VA and a member of the Hanover Chamber of Commerce.

Elizabeh Nevells, LPN - is a member of the contingent nursing staff, she has been employed by Hanover Hospital since 1999, first in patient registration then in the cashiers office.  She attended the Hanover Hospital Practical Nursing program and became a Licensed Practical Nurse where she works here in the clinic and Green Acres Nursing Home in Gettysburg.

Frankie McCann, RN, ASN - is a member of our contingent nursing staff.  Her professional experience includes nurse case management, respiratory therapy, critical care nursing and education services, she obtained an ASN ana a BS in Business from Excelsior College in Albany, NY.

d'Deette Almoney, RN, BSN - is a member of our continent nursing staff, before obtaining her degree from York College she was employed as a nursing assistant in the float pool at Hanover Hospital.  She currently works as an RN on the second floor medical/surgical unit as well as HanoverWorks.  She is a member of the American Medical Surgical Association.

Jill Keller, RN, BSN - is a member of our nursing staff, she obtained her bachelors degree from Idaho State University.  She has a number of years experience in acute care and emergency medicine at the University of Maryland, and was a member of the Shock Trauma team there, as well as, contingent nursing supervisor at the Hanover Hospital.  Currently she remains per diem at HanoverWorks and is current in ACLS.
