Hanover Hospital Auxiliary "Tree of Life" is 21-Year Holiday Tradition
The Hanover Hospital Auxiliary will light their Tree of Life for the 21st year at the annual Illumination Ceremony to be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 2nd on the corner of Highland Avenue and Charles Street. Hot drinks and cookies will be served after the ceremony.
For a contribution of $5.00 per light, loved ones can be honored or remembered during this special season. It can serve as a special way to memorialize or say “thanks” to someone, to celebrate a new life, or remember another memorable event in your life. Donor forms can be obtained during the entire holiday season, by visiting the Hanover Hospital Auxiliary’s Hospitality Shop located in the lobby of the Hanover Hospital, or by calling the Auxiliary office at 633-2281.
All donors and persons honored are listed in a beautiful book generously donated by Craig and Renate Johnson and maintained in the lobby of the hospital during the holidays. In addition, if the donor desires, a card may be sent to the person being honored, or to the family of a person in memory, telling them of their light.
The Hanover Hospital Auxiliary touches the lives of so many people in so many ways through friendship, support and service. The Auxiliary has raised nearly $2 million since 1925 to benefit Hanover Hospital and the community. These funds are used to purchase state-of-the-art equipment, contribute to continuing education of hospital employees, sponsor youth events, and to support community outreach programs, which provide financial assistance to cover medical costs for those in need.
For more information about the Hanover Hospital Auxiliary, please call Lisa Bowersox, Auxiliary Secretary, at 633-2281, or Joanne Wantz, Community & Network Relations, at 633-2141.
