Hanover Hospital Stroke Support Group to Meet on November 10th

The next Hanover Hospital Stroke Support Group meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, from 6 – 8 p.m., in the Medical Fitness Center Conference Room, Upper Level, Hillside Medical Center, 250 Fame Avenue, Hanover.

Guest speaker Erica Wilson, a Hanover Hospital pharmacist, will discuss “Medications and the Stroke Survivor.”

The Stroke Support Group provides emotional assistance and social contact for its members, while promoting a healthy lifestyle.  It is designed for survivors of both strokes and head injuries, as well as their family and caregivers. The support group is listed on the registries of the American Stroke Association and the National Stroke Association.     

Participation in the Stroke Support Group is free, and light refreshments will be provided. Meeting dates scheduled in 2010 include:  January 12, March 9, May 11, July 3, September 14, and November 9.
