Hanover Hospital Auxiliary To Host A Holiday Open House
The Hanover Hospital Auxiliary will be hosting a Holiday Open House in their Hospitality Shop, from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14th and Thursday, November 15th; and from 10:00 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Friday, November 16th. The Shop is located just inside the Hanover Hospital Visitors Lobby.
Unique Christmas wreaths, swags, ornaments and many other decorative items will be available, to help shoppers get an early start with their holiday shopping. Light refreshments will be served.
Since opening its doors in 1954, the Hanover Hospital Auxiliary Hospitality Shop has been offering patients, staff and visitors a variety of gifts, seasonal decorations, flowers and unique gift items. The shop is open for extended hours with the assistance of staff and volunteers, including over the lunch hour from 12-1 p.m., for more convenient shopping. In 1991, a roving cart was introduced as an extension of the Hospitality Shop. Profits from the shop and cart directly support hospital programs and continuing education for hospital employees.
The Hanover Hospital Auxiliary touches the lives of so many people in so many ways through friendship, support and service. The Auxiliary has raised nearly $2 million since 1925 to benefit Hanover Hospital and the community. These funds are used to purchase state-of-the-art equipment, contribute to continuing education of hospital employees, sponsor youth events, and to support community outreach programs, which provide financial assistance to cover medical-related costs of those in need.
