October 9, 2009 -
Do you feel as if you are juggling elephants? If you are a healthcare educator, you’ve surely experienced the feeling. Learn how to take control of your time and energy and better accomplish your goals by participating in Hanover Hospital’s 5th Annual Educators’ Conference. This year’s educational and interactive event will take place October 23, 2009, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Hanover Hospital Wellness and Education Center, 400 York Street, Hanover.
"Juggling Elephants" is open to all healthcare educators responsible for teaching others as part or all of their position responsibilities. The purpose of the conference is to help healthcare educators raise the bar in their continued journey toward excellence.
The Keynote Speaker will be Jones Loflin, who is co-author of the popular book entitled Juggling Elephants. He draws on skills honed as a teacher, business owner, and as a speaker for over 13 years. Guest speakers include Dr. Sara Winegar of Adams-Hanover Counseling Services and Steven Berwager, HACC Educator. Dr. Winegar will present “Stress and the Importance of the ‘Self Ring,” which explores the relationship between self-care and stress management, and recognizing the signs of burnout. “Learning: A Three Ring Circus Approach,” is the topic of Steven Berwager’s presentation, sharing ideas and innovations in education to make learning more relevant, to better use time, and to bring smiles to the learning process.
Participants will receive 5 CE’s for attending the conference. Hanover Hospital is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the PA State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission of Accreditation.
