Hillside 5K Raises $5,451 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association
A total of over 90 runners and walkers participated in the recent 5th Annual Heritage/ERA Preferred Properties 5K Run/Walk at Hillside, raising $5,451.48 which will be presented to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).
Programs by the MDA are funded almost entirely by individual private contributors, like the 5K Run/Walk, and do not receive any governmental grants. Sponsors for the event include: ERA Preferred Properties Real Estate, Inc.; Hillside Medical Center, Hanover Rehab Centers-Sports Medicine; and South Penn Road Runners.
The 5K event is held each year in conjunction with the anniversary of the opening of the Hillside Medical Center in 2003. Thanks to all who participated, and congratulations to those who earned one of many trophies and medals, which were presented by Anastasia Corp, of Hanover, this year’s MDA Goodwill Ambassador:
