Hanover Hospital Wellness Connection Offers Free Program: "What Should I Eat? A Guide to the New Food Pyramid"
Have you ever wondered what makes up a healthy meal? Do you wonder whether you
and your family are getting the nutrients needed to lead a healthier life? Are you
concerned about your weight?
The Hanover Hospital Wellness Connection is proud to offer a free program entitled, "What Should I Eat? A Guide to the New Food Pyramid," which will take place from 7 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 12th, at the Guthrie Memorial Library-Hanover's Public Library.
Guest speaker Nadine Wolf, Director of Hanover Hospital's Food & Nutrition Services
Department, will instruct participants on choosing appropriate serving sizes to best meet
the nutrition requirements of each food group according to the new guidelines, called My
Pyramid; and how to utilize "food journaling" skills, to see how your diet measures up to
the new guideline.
Participants will learn how using the powerful "MyPyramid.gov" website can make
healthy eating a breeze. Registered Dietitian Nadine Wolf will answer questions and
guide participants through the latest scientific research on nutrition and healthy eating.
The program is free, but space is limited, so pre-registration is recommended. For
