Hanover Hospital to Sponsor Nursing Symposium: "Witness for the Defense-The Nurse's Role"

Hanover Hospital will sponsor its second free Nursing Symposium on Thursday, September 20, 2007, from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m., at the Hanover Community Health & Education Center, 400 York Street,  Hanover.  1.5 continuing education credits will be included with the program.

Guest presenters will be Lois A. Fenner McBride, RN, MS, Esq.; and David W. Moellman, BS, PT, MPA, Esq., both of Kahn, Smith & Collins, PA.  The symposium will educate nurses on their role during court procedures.  Attendees will be able to state why accurate patient documentation is crucial, identify at least three key elements of the nurse’s role during a deposition and identify pitfalls to avoid when providing testimony.
