New Beginnings Nicotine Support Group – September Meeting Cancelled
August 24, 2010 -
The New Beginnings Nicotine Support Group meeting scheduled for September 6 has been cancelled due to the Labor Day holiday. The next meeting will take place on Monday, October 4, at 6:30 p.m., in the new Tobacco Cessation Program office, located next to Respiratory Care on the second floor, at Hanover Hospital.
New Beginnings is a dynamic, FREE monthly gathering dedicated to the exploration, encouragement and support of a tobacco-free life. The group’s goal is to offer support and relevant information to anyone who has already quit using tobacco, whether in the past or recently, or for anyone who currently uses any form of tobacco and is thinking of quitting. Research has shown that consistent support, positive reinforcement and accurate information about the nature of changing tobacco-use behaviors are what help people stay tobacco-free for good.
Each group meeting is facilitated by one of the tobacco treatment specialists from Hanover Hospital’s Tobacco Cessation Program. The group meets on the first Monday of each month, and will continue to meet in this new location.
