Hanover Hospital Presents "The Hunter and the Hunted"

Whether you are an avid hunter or a weekend warrior, join us for a special event which addresses the dangers associated with hunting’s strenuous activity, with hidden cardiovascular disease and how to administer first aid to hunting related incidents. “The Hunter and The Hunted” will be presented on Saturday, August 21, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at the Hanover Hospital Wellness & Education Center, 400 York Street, Hanover.
Sponsored by Hanover Hospital’s Heart and Vascular Institute’s Speaking Heart to Heart program, the event will include a complimentary breakfast, Gun and 13 Jars, and prize drawings. Free health screenings are available along with a cholesterol screening for $22.50 and spirometry for $10. Local hunting outfitters and supply stores will be on display.
Presentations will be made by Dr. John Lunsford, Hanover family physician and Karen Myers, Emergency Nurse from Hanover Hospital, and by Gander Mountain. Outback Imagery will present on how to field dress animals and the art of taxidermy.
Offered for the first time last year, the program was attended by 177 participants.
