"Learning to Relax" is Topic of Wellness Program
A new 12-week group therapy program entitled “Going With the Flow: Learning to Relax in a Stress-Filled World” will begin on August 2nd.
The program, led by a clinical psychologist, is designed to help individuals with symptoms of depression and/or anxiety to learn new patterns of dealing with stress. Participants will learn to recognize the difference between reacting to versus responding to stress; develop and practice relaxation and mindfulness skills to use to improve responses to stress; and will participate in a cohesive group that facilitates problem-solving, gaining support, instilling hope, and building new skills.
