As a customer service, Hanover Hospital also offers the assistance of Patient Financial Advocates, located in the Emergency Department, who assist in verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, advise patients of their payment options and collect co-pays.  If a patient is uninsured or underinsured, the Advocates provide counseling on various options including payment plans, Community Care, and CHIP and Medical Assistance programs.  Counseling in these cases is not only an asset during the initial hospital visit but also in setting up future healthcare services such as doctor appointments and prescriptions.

Individuals who are new to the area, or are looking for a primary care provider or medical specialist can find the names of doctors accepting new patients by visiting: www.HanoverDocFinder.com, or by calling (888) MY.DOC.FIND weekdays, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
