Hanover Hospital Provides Free Unlimited Online Nursing Continuing Education Courses

Officials at Hanover Hospital are pleased to announce the addition of CE Direct “Nursing Spectrum” an online e-learning continuing education program as a benefit to nurses.

All Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses employed by the hospital are now eligible to earn unlimited free continuing education contact hours directly from Nursing Spectrum.  More than 400 different CE courses are now available at anytime and anywhere a nurse has internet access.  Ranging from one to 30 contact hours, each course provides real-time testing and instant receipt of a printable CE certificate.

According to Pat Saunders, Vice President of Nursing, “We value our nurses and respect their need to balance their professional and family life.  They now have the ability to earn continuing education credits whenever it is convenient...and can literally take the courses any time of the day or night.”  The new capability will prove even more valuable as time goes on.  “In the future,” Saunders added, “Nursing license renewal in the State of Pennsylvania will be dependant on earning a specific number of CE credits.  This online ability can completely

fulfill this requirement.”                                                                                                                                     

 

Nurses can choose to listen on their computer or automatically download them to their iPods, enabling them to listen anywhere they go.  The program will fit right into the nurse’s life, providing opportunities to explore areas within their professional specialty as well as management or other topics of interest.                                            

An extensive list of course topics are available through CE Direct, ranging from Cardiology and Gerontology to Infectious Disease, prenatal nursing and Women’s Health.
