Mother's Day "Garland of Roses" Honors Special Women in Our Lives

April 17,  2009 -
The Hanover Hospital Auxiliary is pleased to present their 8th annual springtime event, “The Mother’s Day Garland of Roses.”

For a donation of $5.00, a rose will be added to a decorative garland placed on the evergreen tree located on the south corner of Highland Avenue and Charles Street.  The rose is added in honor, remembrance, or in appreciation of a woman (or women) who is close to the contributor’s heart.  An acknowledgement card is sent to the honoree or their family.  The roses will be in full “bloom” from Tuesday May 5th through Saturday, May 16th.

All donors and persons honored will be listed in a beautiful book generously donated by the Chuck, Michelle, Carolyn & Robbie McGough in honor of their mother, grandmother and friend, Bernadette McGough. The book will be displayed in the hospital’s visitor lobby during the “blooming season.”

Proceeds from the Mother’s Day Garland of Roses directly support Hanover Hospital. The Hanover Hospital Auxiliary has raised over $2 million since 1925 to benefit the hospital and the community.  These funds are used to purchase state-of-the-art equipment, contribute to continuing education of Hanover Hospital employees, sponsor youth events, and to support the Special Needs Fund, which provides financial assistance to cover healthcare-related costs to those in need.

Forms to purchase roses are available now at the Hospitality Shop, by contacting the Auxiliary office at (717) 633-2281, or by emailing the Auxiliary at hanoverauxiliary@hanoverhospital.org.
