Denise Fake, RN is New Administrator of Hanover SurgiCenter

Officials at Hanover Hospital announced that Denise Fake, R.N. was recently promoted to the position of Administrator at Hanover SurgiCenter.

An Operating Room nurse at the SurgiCenter since 1992, Fake was recently promoted to the position of Nurse Manager prior to assuming the role of Administrator.  Prior to the SurgiCenter, she was a nurse at Hanover Hospital since 1976, working on Medical-Surgical units and later in the Operating Room.  She received her Registered Nurse diploma at Union Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Baltimore, Maryland.

In her new position, she will interact between nursing, medical staff, administration, and the SurgiCenter Board of Managers. She is responsible for the daily operations of the facility.

According to Fake, the Hanover SurgiCenter provides a family-like atmosphere as a free-standing outpatient facility, where the staff follows the patient throughout their entire surgical experience – from pre-assessment through post-operative phases.  “We also have the opportunity to interact with the patient’s family, provide pre and post-operative education and instruction, and interact with the patient the following day via a follow-up phone call,” she explained.  

A member of the Hanover HealthCare PLUS network, and located in the South Hanover Medical Center, 3130 Grandview Road, the Hanover SurgiCenter is a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center performing procedures in ENT (Ears, Nose & Throat), Urology, General Surgery, Orthopaedic, Hand, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, and Gynecology.
