Pete Krech Is New VP of Human Resources at Hanover Hospital
Officials at Hanover Hospital announced that Peter "Pete" Krech, is the new Vice
President of Human Resources at Hanover Hospital, succeeding Mary Claire Toohey
following her retirement.
In his new position, Pete will oversee the administration of all employment,
compensation, benefit planning, employee relations, workers compensation, and
employee health. The Departments of Education Services, Employee Health and
Volunteer Services also report to him.
Most recently employed as Director of Human Resources at Chestnut Hill Rehabilitation Hospital, in Wyndmoor, PA, he formerly worked in similar capacities at Brandywine Hospital, Coatesville; Southern Chester County Medical Center, West Grove; and Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Upland, PA.
Pete received his undergraduate education in Labor-Management Relations at Penn State
University, and his Master of Science Degree at Widener University, in Chester, PA. His
professional affiliations include service as Past President of the Human Resource
Committee of the Association of Delaware Hospitals; Past President of the Suburban
Philadelphia Hospital Personnel Society; and a member of the American Society for
Healthcare Human Resources Administration.
Pete also holds the rank of Captain in the U.S. Naval Reserve, now retired following a
30-year career of active U.S. Navy and reserve duty, where he specialized in salvage
diving and explosive ordnance safety.
He and his wife, Marie, are in the process of moving to the Hanover community. He is the father of four grown children.
