Barbara Renn is New Director of Imaging Services at Hanover Hospital

Officials at Hanover Hospital are pleased to announce that Barbara S. Renn, RT(R)(M),  is the new Director of Imaging Services.  She comes to Hanover with over 20 years of Radiology experience, having worked at Bayfront Medical Center, St. Petersburg, Florida, and at Sacramento Diagnostic Clinic, Sacramento, California.  Most recently, she served as Chief Technologist/PACS Coordinator at Chambersburg and Waynesboro Hospitals in Pennsylvania, where she acquired additional expertise in the Fuji Computed Radiography system.

As Director, Renn is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the imaging services department at the hospital as well as the outpatient imaging satellite locations.

Renn completed her radiological technologist training at Bayfront Medical Center School of Radiology.   There, she had the privilege of opening and managing an outpatient imaging center, part of Bayfront Medical Center, which she calls one of the highlights of her professional accomplishments.  The project started with an already standing building which was gutted in readiness for the massive renovation project, which Renn directed in its entirety, including planning, furnishing, and operations.

Renn is very pleased with the opportunity here at Hanover. “Senior management is so supportive, as are many other directors and staff,” she said. “They are helping me get through this transition, and we are getting things done.”  In the few short weeks she has been at Hanover, she has instituted online scheduling for staff and radiologists, and has put her past experience with Meditech to good use.  Renn is excited about improving the quality and efficiency of Hanover’s imaging services.
