The Lifeline personal emergency response system is designed to provide emergency assistance to individuals who are unable to get to a phone and call for help. It is especially useful for those who live alone, the elderly, and persons with medical problems.
Subscribers wear a pendant, which they press when they need help. The radio transmitter in the device will send a signal to a console unit that is connected to your telephone. The console unit then automatically dials the monitoring center.
The monitoring personnel will send an ambulance or a responder to your home. The responder is someone you designate, in advance, to come to your aid. It may be a relative, neighbor, the police, or an ambulance.
Cost for the Lifeline personal emergency response system includes a one-time installation fee, and a monthly user fee. Special discounts may be available.
