Early Stage Dementia Support Group

Posted Date: 8/2/2017

Hosted by Hanover Hospital and Cross Keys Village

The diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or another related dementia is life changing. It often leads to questions and feelings of uncertainty and loneliness.

Mary Flinner, Director of Social Services at Hanover Hospital, and Jennifer Holcomb, Director of Memory Support, Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community, are offering a unique opportunity for persons living with Alzheimer's disease or another related dementia and their care partners - an Early Stage Support Group where they can connect with others who understand how they are feeling and are having similar experiences. The group will meet together for an educational session for the first hour, then will divide into 2 groups (one for the persons living with the disease and the other for the care partners) for the second hour.

The group will be held Mondays from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., September 18 - November 6 at the York Street Medical Center, 400 York Street, Hanover.  Registration is required - please call Jennifer Holcomb at (717) 624-5474 by September 8, 2017.
Light refreshments will be provided.
