Hanover Hospital Announces Medical Career Grant Program

In order to promote and support students with a desire to enter the healthcare profession, Hanover HealthCare Plus is offering a limited number of grants to individuals who are interested in going to school full-time to become a Registered Nurse, Radiology Technologist, or Ultrasound Technologist.

To be eligible for the grant, the student must have been accepted into an accredited two-year Registered Nurse, Radiology Technologist or Ultrasound Technologist Program or be a full-time student in a four-year program. Grants for students in a four-year program will be awarded for their junior and senior year.

Individuals must be full-time students (12+ credit hours, per semester), and have a 2.5 or higher GPA.

The grant will cover tuition, books and activity fees, and is renewable if all criteria are maintained and funding is available. A three-year employment commitment with a signed contract is required upon accepting the grant.

According to Jeanne Bixler, Human Resources Specialist, applicants will be asked to provide additional outlined information with their completed application. Final candidates will be interviewed by the hospital's Medical Career Grant Committee.
