A.W.A.K.E. (Alert, Well And Keeping Energetic)

Meetings are held every other month. For those diagnosed with sleep apnea. Provides support and information about the disorder, diagnosis, and treatment. For more information, call 717-316-2229.

Breastfeeding Support Group

Breastfeeding can be very challenging, especially during the first few weeks following childbirth. Our group will provide support and encouragement to new and experienced moms. Discussion topics will be based upon the concerns and challenges brought forth by our participants. In addition, we will offer opportunities for guest speakers and education. This group is now offered twice a month.
Meeting #1: First Tuesday of every month, 12:30 to 2 p.m., St. Marks' Lutheran Church, 129 Charles Street, Hanover (parking is available on Willow Street)
Meeting #2: Third Wednesday of every month, 6 to 7:30 p.m., UPMC Pinnacle Hanover, Conference Room D, 300 Highland Avenue, Hanover

This program is designed for moms with babies from newborn – 12 months of age. Registration is not required and there is no cost for participation. Siblings are welcome to attend and are encouraged to bring things that will quietly keep their attention. For more information, please contact Lactation Services at 717-316-2262.

Depression Support Group

Group offers mutual support and encouragement in an accepting, understanding and confidential environment. Offered Tuesdays, 7 p.m. The 1st Tuesday of the month is set aside for Reiki Share. For more information, call 717-316-6905.

Grief Support Group

A monthly group designed to offer support and coping methods for those newly bereaved, and ongoing support for others no matter how long ago the death of their loved one(s) occurred. Offered the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. (Note: this is a new day and time for this group, effective immediately.) For more information, please call 717-316-6905.

Infant Bereavement Services

For parents who have lost a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, or newborn death. Please call Hospital Chaplain Eric Stenman at 717-316-6905 for more information.

Memory Care Resources at Cross Keys

Cross Keys Village at the Brethren Home offers a number of support and social groups for those coping with dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s and their caregivers. Please click here for info on a list of support resources or call the Director of Memory Support at Cross Keys at 717-624-5474.

Ostomy Support Group

Our meetings provide an informal, friendly setting for individuals who have undergone ostomies to share experiences, coping methods and education about new products and resources among one another. Family memebers and caregivers are welcome to participate. Meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of each month.

Reiki Share

Offered on the first Tuesday of every month, 7 to 9 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 129 Charles Street, Hanover. You can drop in or stay for the entire two hours. No appointment is necessary. Your sample will last 10 to 15 minutes.
